The trio has performed throughout the UK, in many European countries and during three American tours. Appearances have included complete two-hour concerts and a single piece on BBC TV's Blue Peter. In addition, the accoustic qualities of the serpent make it an ideal instrument to be played as a background to general conversation at weddings and parties. And since we are a unique and novel ensemble, we provide an interesting talking point, providing guests with yet another memory to take away with them.
The trio is able to play in a huge range of styles and has a very wide repertoire, ranging from Singin' in The Rain and Alabamy Bound to Mendelssohn's Wedding March and Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks. Given notice we can probably even prepare one or two pieces specifically for your event. Examples of pieces specially arranged for previous events include Old Father Thames (for a Thames river cruise), arias from Mozart operas (for a Mozart-loving bride) and a suite from the music for an Offenbach operetta (for a French light opera festival). We play music from many periods and countries, including pieces specially written for us by composers such as Simon Proctor and Judith Weir The trio also premiered a piece by PDQ Bach which was commissioned by our friend Craig Kridel of South Carolina.
